How Star Trek Got it Right

For much of my youth I tuned in to the original Star Trek series. I even had the James T. Kirk doll. Yes, I am a boy, and I admit…I had a doll.
Star Trek has one of the most famous opening lines: “Space: the final frontier.” But when you think about this statement a bit more, it’s pretty profound. So profound that I want to explore it a bit more with you.

Space is one of the most powerful resources that we have available to us. I have found (not only for me, but for my clients as well) that the more we can create space in our lives, the deeper and further we can go.

Space is grounding and we can find true inspiration and intuition there.

I create space to meditate twice a day for 20 minutes at a time. This practice is massively valuable as I tune up my consciousness, which allows me to flow through the day in a much more centered and purposeful way. But this takes time.

In order to strategize about our lives, VISION and business, we need space. Space to think.

I have also found that we need space in order to connect with family and friends in meaningful ways.

Space should be created physically and mentally. By doing this we get more into the flow and peace is found. Our physical space is our environment and it has a significant impact on us.

Have you been intentional about the space you live and work in?

There is huge leverage and power in having room in your life, but this doesn’t happen by accident. There is inertia in being “busy.” But having to be “on” is a false adage that it is the key to being productive. Don’t get sucked in.

Where can you use more space?

I would love to hear from you.

Peace,

Chris
